Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.08%, while the index climbed 2.92%, and the index added 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 9.14% or 0.94 points to trade at 11.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 9.06% or 1.84 points to end at 22.16 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was up 7.83% or 2.07 points to 28.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:), which fell 5.72% or 13.10 points to trade at 215.80 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) declined 5.71% or 22.80 points to end at 376.60 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) was down 3.61% or 0.82 points to 21.74.
The top performers on the MDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.87% to 20.71, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was up 9.71% to settle at 37.75 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 9.06% to close at 56.60.
The worst performers were Scout24 AG (ETR:) which was down 3.24% to 63.96 in late trade, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.16% to settle at 67.35 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.08% to 77.98 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.87% to 20.71, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which was up 10.27% to settle at 6.32 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 9.06% to close at 56.60.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.98% to 33.57 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which lost 3.61% to settle at 21.74 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.08% to 77.98 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 432 to 208 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vonovia SE (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.83% or 2.07 to 28.51.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 4.29% to 12.93 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 2.74% or 54.80 to $2,052.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.79% or 2.63 to hit $72.10 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 3.70% or 2.75 to trade at $77.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.08% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.91% at 101.54.
