Russia’s Deputy PM sees Brent crude oil at $80-$85 a barrel in 2024
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak on Wednesday said analysts expect Brent crude oil prices in a range of $80 to $85 a barrel in 2024. Novak added that Russia and other producers were not targeting any specific price and that Russia was sticking to its obligations on oil supply cuts while ensuring stable work and development of its oil industry.

Nifty Bank hits a fresh record high! Next target seen at 48,500 levels: Experts
The Nifty Bank closed higher on Wednesday for the second day in a row pushing the index to a fresh record high in line with the trend seen in the benchmark index. The Nifty Bank rallied more than 500 points to close at 48,282. The index hit a record high of 48,347. The Nifty50 index also hit a record high above 21,600 levels. The rally in the Nifty Bank index was led by gains in PNB, Bank of Baroda, IndusInd Bank, SBI and Axis Bank. HDFC Bank and Federal Bank closed flat.

Rupee closes weaker even as dollar recedes to 5-month low
The Indian rupee weakened on Wednesday as month-end dollar demand from oil companies pressured the local unit even as the dollar index fell to a 5-month low. The rupee ended at 83.3450 against the greenback on Wednesday, down 0.18% compared with its close at 83.1925 in the previous session.
The Bank Nifty recently experienced a breakout from consolidation as observed on the daily chart. It’s been consistently maintaining a position above a critical moving average. Additionally, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) reflects a bullish crossover on the daily chart. Looking forward, the index could potentially target levels between 48500-48800 on the upside, with a support base at 48000

Stock Market Live Updates: Crude oil futures decline on low demand
Crude oil futures on Wednesday declined 0.24% to Rs 6,300 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for January delivery fell Rs 15 or 0.24% to Rs 6,300 per barrel with a business volume of 11,090 lots. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded 0.24% lower at USD 75.39 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading up 0.04% at USD 81.10 per barrel in New York.

Gold Price Today: Yellow metal trades flat amid weak US dollar and bond yields
The February gold futures were trading at Rs 63,042 per 10 grams on the MCX at 10.11 am and were up by Rs 17 or 0.03% from Tuesday’s closing price. Meanwhile, the March Silver futures were trading at Rs 75,025 per kg and were lower by Re 1 around this time.
