BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) – A man has been arrested after admitting to downloading and sharing child pornography, an affidavit reported.
According to the court document, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children noticed suspicious activity involving the sharing and receiving of child pornography and alerted authorities.
The report revealed the suspect, identified in the affidavit as James Hahn, was using the messaging application Kik to distribute the pornographic files.
Investigators identified Hahn as the suspect after tracing his user email and IP address, the affidavit states.
According to the document, investigators found a video depicting the sexual assault of a child, which Hahn forwarded in a private chat message to another user, an act known as “trading” in Kik.
