Firm connects Nigeria’s investors to $217m US real estate portfolio

In an event that signals a new era in cross border wealth creation, XSITE Capital, a multifamily real estate investment firm with over $217 million in assets under management, has restated its commitment to connecting Nigeria’s investors to US real estate portfolio.

This is as the firm launched its African subsidiary, XSITE Africa, at an invite-only gathering at Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi.

The exclusive event attracted some of Nigeria’s top investors and business leaders including Bolaji Lawal, Managing Director of Ecobank Nigeria; Nonso Okpala, Group Managing Director/CEO at VFD Group Plc; Abayomi Awobokun, Chairman of Konstructum; Tega Oghenejobo, President of Mavin Records; Michael Ikpoki, the former CEO of MTN Ghana & Nigeria; and Dennis Olisa, former Executive Director of Zenith Bank among other distinguished guests.

Julius Oni, the CEO and Co-founder of XSITE Capital Investment shared his vision of creating a bidirectional investment flow between Africa and America. “Tonight marks the beginning of a transformation in how Africans build and preserve wealth,” said Oni.

“We are giving Africans in Africa access to institutional-grade US real estate while enabling Africans – both home and abroad – to invest confidently back in Africa.”

XSITE Africa’s launch addresses a gap in the market: while real estate is widely recognized as the foundation of generational wealth, most Africa investors have been shut out of multifamily real estate investing; one of the most resilient wealth building vehicles in the global market.

The founding company boasts of a portfolio of 1,106 doors under management, over $8 million in returns delivered to investors and 100 percent principal preservation, even through global economic uncertainty.

Kelechi Ekugo, Senior Country Director to the US-Nigeria Council for Food Security, Trade and Investment, who attended the event, noted: “This opportunity is commendable and very welcome. It’s quite inspiring to see that they are creating a unique, diversified asset class for multifamily investment outside the US”

In the same vein, Dennis Olisa, former Executive Director Zenith Bank said, “It’s been an eye-opener; giving Nigerians an opportunity to make investment in real estate with an option to invest locally or in the diaspora. I think it’s the right step in the right direction.”

Beyond providing investment opportunities, XSITE Africa is creating a community bonded by a shared vision of growing and sustaining generational wealth. “We are creating a community of people like us who believe wealth shouldn’t end after one generation, people who want to bequeath their wealth to their children, people who understand that true prosperity outlives its creator,” said Eno Hanson, Country Director of XSITE Africa.

The company also unveiled ambitious plans to develop 10,000 multifamily housing units across Nigeria over the next decade. “These won’t be just apartment buildings,” Dr Oni explained. “We’re creating complete communities where Nigeria’s youth can live, play and thrive; spaces designed for connection and innovation.”
