CHICAGO — A 43-year-old man has died Friday afternoon after being shot multiple times at a Family Dollar in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.
According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at the Family Dollar on the 5400 block of West Chicago Avenue in the city’s Austin neighborhood on Friday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 43-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Further investigation showed the man was approached by an individual who produced a handgun and fired shots toward the victim. No one has been taken into custody.
