PHILADELPHIA — The 2024 Philadelphia Phillies season will mark the end of a beloved era, the team announced Thursday.
In a major blow to hungry Phils fans, the team said it’s famous Dollar God Nights, where hotdogs cost just $1, are over.
In their stead comes Hatfield Phillies Franks BOGO (buy-one-get-one) Nights.
On these nights, game attendees can buy two hot dogs for the price of one hot dog priced at $5 at concession stands throughout the ballpark.
This decision obviously has fans riled up.
“GIVE US DOLLAR DOGS BACK OR WE WONT SHOW UP THIS YEAR,” one social media user wrote in response.
“How dare you,” another commented.
“You may as well have stabbed me in the heart and KILLED ME,” an X user wrote. “You took away our CULTURE. Our HISTORY. Our DOLLAR DOG NIGHT.”
According to the team, the change “is based on the organization’s ongoing commitment to provide a positive experience for all fans in attendance.”
These BOGO nights are planned for Tuesday, April 2 versus Cincinnati Reds, and Tuesday, April 16 versus Colorado Rockies. Both games are at 6:40 p.m.
