Nvidia investing in MediaTek. This is a Taiwanese company, 3.5 billion dollars. And this is an important deal because it’s Nvidia’s biggest investment abroad. Also because MediaTek is going to be adopting Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion platform. What does this mean? Well, this means that MediaTek makes accelerators for uh hyper scalars, and you’ll know that hyper scalars have been increasingly making their own uh accelerator chips.

And so what this means is that by MediaTek adopting Nvidia’s technology, that those uh accelerators will be slotting into Nvidia’s technology. That means that Nvidia gets to stay in that revenue loop.

A really important deal, and also because uh Jensen Wang is is also uh basically going deeper into Taiwan, and also he was born in Taiwan, I should add.
