Fake Currency: Four Get 7 Yrs In Prison For Circulating Fake Currency | Nashik News

Nashik: The court of Additional Sessions Judge, Nashik, U J More, on Friday convicted four people and sentenced them to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) in connection with a fake currency notes’ case.The convicts have been identified as Harish Valmik Gujar, Babasaheb Bhaskar Said, Ananda Daulat Kumbharde, and Kiran Balasaheb Girme. On September 6, 2021, two persons were found using a fake currency note in the weekly market of Umberthan village in Surgana taluka. A woman selling vegetables became suspicious about the note she received from the duo. She then raised an alarm. During subsequent investigation, the police arrested five more people, and a case was registered against them .On Friday, Additional Sessions Judge U J More, after examining the statements of the complainant and the witnesses, and the circumstantial evidence produced in court, found the four accused guilty of offences and sentenced them to seven years’ rigorous imprisonment.
