Vijayawada: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu led a workshop for TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP candidates, prioritising winnability in the upcoming elections. He highlighted the meticulous seat-sharing exercise, leveraging advanced technology for candidate selection. Naidu said he will work with the aim of winning 160/175 seats in the assembly elections. Naidu stressed the influence of public policies on societal transformation and the unique approach taken in this election. The alliance among TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP aims to reshape the state’s future over the next three decades.Naidu criticised the YSRCP for spreading fake news and engaging in corrupt practices. He called for adoption of digital currency to combat political corruption, advocating for the ban of certain denomination currency notes. The workshop underscored the commitment of the alliance to strategic candidate selection and the implementation of progressive policies for the betterment of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu also raised concerns about the lack of accountability on the part of current government, particularly in drug-related issues. He alleged YSRCP’s social media accounts are trying to accuse TDP and BJP in drug issues.Jana Sena political affairs committee (PAC) chairman Nadendla Manohar accused YSRCP of making deliberate attempts to sabotage the alliance of BJP, TDP, and Jana Sena. He praised the coordination among the three parties and commended Pawan Kalyan for sacrificing a few seats in the interest of the state.Manohar urged the party leadership to address minor disputes locally without involving the top leadership. He emphasized the significance of ensuring the smooth transfer of votes among the three parties, highlighting it as a crucial issue that requires collective attention and effort.The chairman of the AP BJP disciplinary committee, Sripaka Satyanarayana, highlighted the collaboration between BJP and TDP to protect the country’s interests. He assured clarity on crucial projects like Amaravati, Polavaram, and Visakhapatnam railway zone. Satyanarayana criticised YSRCP for causing uncertainty through false campaigns, particularly by claiming that NDA would halt welfare schemes. He called for a robust response to such claims. He urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure daily updates on criminal cases against candidates as part of transparency and accountability.
