But there were consequences to its popularity.

Some of the elements of her creative fruit growing were hard to come by.

The pots were becoming increasingly hard to come by thanks to the popularity of her video.

She said stawberries were her favorite fruit, which was just as well for this market gardener.

She was going to be flooded in strawberries come harvest time.

Using pots, fertilizer, compost, and strawberry plants from Dollar Tree, with some clever adaptation, she increased her growing area.

“We just doubled the size of our strawberry garden and it only took a quarter of the space,” she said.

She created verticle 12 x pot towers, by driving a stake through the middle and was able to plant five hundred strawberry plants, all for only $27.

“I expect a healthy profit,” she said.

The bare bones of her idea may have not cost much, but these vertical towers were proving to be pretty sturdy.

She said they had survived 40mph gusts and thunderstorms.

Commenters loved her ingenuity.

“I love this so much. Shows the ability of vertical gardening at its finest,” said one person.
