The People’s Bank of China (PBC) will continue to crack down domestic crypto currency operations and speculations in coordination with law enforcement agencies, striving to safeguard economic and financial order, PBC Governor Pan Gongsheng said at the Annual Conference of Financial Street Forum 2025 on Monday.
Since 2017, the PBC, in collaboration with related government agencies, has issued multiple policies aimed at preventing and addressing risks associated with domestic crypto currency trading and speculations. “Now, these documents remain effective,” Pan said.
In the meantime, the PBC will closely follow and dynamically evaluate the development of stablecoins overseas, according to Pan.
