Residents report crypto currency fraud and a suspicious car in their driveway: Russell Township police blotter


CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio —

Fraud, Chillicothe Road:

An officer took a report from a resident 2:25 p.m. Jan. 30 involving crypto currency fraud. Further details were not available in the initial incident report.

Suspicious, Hillbrook East:

A resident called police 1:24 p.m. Feb. 5 to report a suspicious vehicle at the end of his driveway at approximately 3 a.m. He did not have a description of it but wanted police to be aware of the incident. The officer gave him advice.

Vehicle crash, Kinsman Road: Police responded 4:41 pm. Feb. 5 to the scene of a crash involving a deer and a vehicle. The driver was heading eastbound when a deer ran across the road in front of her. She reported no injuries, but the front end and passenger side of the vehicle sustained damage.

Assistance, Dines Road: Police and EMS answered a dispatch center call 11:55 a.m. Feb. 6 to help a man, 73, who fell in his driveway. Assistance was provided.
