Washington: Days after hitting a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs, US President Donald Trump said that Dollar is “always” going to be the “currency of choice”. Trump’s statement comes as Dollar has been weakening against its peers and plunged to its lowest level against the Euro in more than three years. after reciprocal tariffs took effect on April 9.
“We’re the currency of choice. We’re always going to be… I think the dollar is tremendous,” Trump told reporters late Friday as he flew to his Florida estate, as quoted by AFP.
