POTSDAM— A Dollar General store is under construction on state Highway 56 in Hannawa Falls.
Crews from Westlake Construction, Syracuse, and Taylor Fence Company, Carthage, were observed working onsite Thursday, Sept. 18.
Signage has also been posted near the property on Back Hannawa Road advertising the store and seeking job applicants.
Job listings for a variety of positions at the Hannawa Falls store can also be found online.
A Dollar General location previously operated in Potsdam on state Highway 56 between Triple A Building Center and the Snell Office Complex.
Dollar General stores are common in St. Lawrence County, with other locations in Colton, Madrid, Massena, Canton, Norwood, Waddington, Gouverneur, Raymondville, Heuvelton, Winthrop, and Hopkinton.
