On June 28, Mary Dollar celebrated her 27-year banking career with a semi-retirement party at Grandview Bank in Cleburne, where she has worked for the past 24 years.
Dollar greeted friends and customers she has assisted, a great number of whom bought their homes with a Grandview Bank mortgage that she facilitated.
“I’m so thankful that so many of my friends and customers took the time to come by and relive memories — many of them about their homes that I helped them buy,” she said. “Hearing that I helped play a role in their fondest family memories means a lot to me. Plus being part of a local bank that makes local decisions has always been important to me.”
Dollar’s community involvement has been through the Johnson County Association of Realtors and she has served as a member of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
Her customers will still see her at the Burleson location, where Dollar will work part-time. Her reduced hours will allow her to enjoy more family time, grilling, swimming and relaxing at her Brazos River property.
