BAGGING A BARGAIN

She went viral on the social media app when she shared a recent shopping trip in Indiana.

“A new week means new things at Dollar Tree,” she said.

“Also I went a whole town over for you guys.

“We’re going to what I would consider a bigger Dollar Tree to see the newness they have for the week and maybe the oldness that my Dollar Tree didn’t have.”

Walking through the beauty aisle, Kristen revealed that there’s a key feature that she keeps an eye out for.

“We found holographic packaging,” she said.

“Why do we look at that, because it means name brands.”

She showed a rack full of Sally Hansen nail vanishes in metallic pink packaging.

Having spotted a “pretty” gold nail color for $1.25, she threw it into her basket before continuing to shop.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color costs around $5.99 at other stores, such as Target.

I cannot believe the Dollar Tree dupes I found for a $35-and-up skincare brand – the packaging is very nice & fancy too

“Guys, they have the viral freaking beauty puffs,” Kristen said, picking up another product.

“I love these to set under my eyes and I’ve not found them at any other Dollar Tree, so excited.”

She recommended press on nails for beauty enthusiasts “on a budget” as she raved about the variety of products.

She then picked up face masks, false eyelashes, and a bath bomb and emphasized that everything costs just $1.25 each.

Her excitement at finding more well-known makeup brands was halted when she realized they didn’t have her shade in the foundations.

“Revlon, this is name brand,” she said.

“I’ve never tried this foundation but if they had my shade I would have.

“I just love seeing these name brands.

“And Covergirl, again they did not have my shade.”

COVERGIRL truBlend Liquid Foundation costs up to $9 on Amazon.

Kristen showed that Dollar Tree also had a large number of branded lipsticks.

“Holographic packaging,” she said. “It was Maybelline lipstick and they had a ton of these.”

She completed her shopping haul with toiletries including a Paw Patrol toothbrush for her son and a body scrub.

COSMETIC CRAZE

Over 2,000 people liked the video and many viewers took to the comment section confessing they were unaware of how to spot big brands.

“Wait, I didn’t know the holographic bag thing!!!” one person said.

“Great finds,” another chimed in.

“OMG, my Dollar Tre sucks!! I wish mine looked like yours,” a third commented.

“I lovee that Revlon foundation! I thought they stopped selling it so if I see it at DT [Dollar Tree] I’m definitely getting it,” another wrote.
