Mississippi robbery suspect caught after returning to Dollar General for dropped phone

A Mississippi woman is accused of robbing a Dollar General only to be caught when she returned to the scene of the crime to retrieve her cell phone. 

The backstory:

The Gulfport Police Department said they arrested 34-year-old Jessinya Faye Ezell on May 12 and charged her with one count of armed robbery.

Police said the night before, officers responded to a Dollar General at 2600 Dedeaux Road in reference to an armed robbery.

Investigators said Ezell came into the store, showed a weapon and demanded money. She then got into a fight with an employee before leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

They said while investigators were on the scene, Ezell came back to ask about a cellphone she dropped during the robbery. 

She was then identified as the suspect and taken into custody. 

What’s next:

Ezell is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
