If you’re a sucker for reality competition shows like Big Brother and The Traitors, you’ve come to the right place.
Million Dollar Secret just hit Netflix on March 26, and within a matter of days, it’s already claimed the number three spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched shows. (It’s currently ranked behind Adolescence and The Residence.)

Million Dollar Secret is a real-life game of predator and prey, following 12 contestants as they fight to earn the grand prize. To do so, they must determine which participant among them is a secret millionaire. The only way to earn the cash is to eliminate the mystery person by using deception and manipulation, so let the games begin.
The show is hosted by English comedian Peter Serafinowicz, who you may recognize from Guardians of the Galaxy, The Bubble and Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. He confirmed that Million Dollar Secret will challenge the participants in unimaginable ways.
“This game is about lying and deceiving people, taking them into your confidence and pretending to be friends,” he told Netflix’s Tudum. “The participants are in this crazy situation. They wake up, and they’re in this game 24/7. The emotions and the tension … it’s all real. Everyone tries to keep it together, but some just can’t handle the pressure.”
Serafinowicz explained that his hosting role is more hands-on than other reality competition shows. He added, “It’s my responsibility to set the tone, so I didn’t want it to be too cynical. There’s a great prize at stake, and [the players] are taking it very seriously. I’m watching this all play out, and I’m kind of encouraging them, but at the same time antagonizing them in a fun way.”

Although the series premiered on March 26, it’s important to note that only three episodes are available to stream (at least for now). The next three installments will drop on April 2, followed by the final episodes on April 9.
