One person is in custody after Pearl police say the suspect fired shots and shoplifted inside a Pearl Dollar General. On Thursday, investigators say officers responded to the Dollar General on South Pearson Rd. around 4 p.m. for reports of shots fired.Pearl police said when officers arrived, they learned someone had shoplifted from the store, and while running out, started shooting inside of the Dollar General.Hours later, police were able to identify and arrest 27-year-old Treasure Gayden. Police have charged Gayden with four counts of aggravated assault and one count of shoplifting. Gayden has been taken to the Rankin County Jail. Nobody was hurt during the incident.
