The 14th running of the Silver Dollar Nationals takes over state-of-the-art Huset’s Speedway for three-day Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event rewarding $53,000-to-win for Saturday’s finale.
Bobby Pierce captured Thursday’s prelim opener at the third-mile oval, leading all 40 laps over runner-up Brandon Sheppard, who finished 2.224 seconds behind.
Daulton Wilson started from the pole but never led a lap and finished third. Devin Moran started third and finished fourth while Hudson O’Neal started sixth and finished fifth.
Lucas Oil Series points leader Ricky Thornton Jr. started 10th and finished ninth. Seventeen drivers finished on the lead lap while 22 were running at the finish.
