If you’re looking for a Jersey Shore house with million dollar views but your budget is a lot less, this house is the one.
It’s a two bedroom, one bathroom bungalow on Cranberry Inlet in Seaside Heights that’s listed for $629,000. Cranberry Inlet connects Barnegat Bay with the Atlantic Ocean.
“The sunsets are amazing,” said Kristin Wolf of Keller Williams Realty Ocean Living, the listing agent. “There’s nothing obstructing your view.”
The 520-square-foot home was built in 2014, after the original structure was destroyed during Superstorm Sandy. It’s raised nine feet and hurricane compliant, she said.
It’s located within a little cul-de-sac of five homes. “It’s a homeowners’ association but they don’t pay homeowners’ association fees,” Wolf said. “It’s a very private community and everyone gets along.”
The one-story home has an open concept living room and kitchen with vaulted ceilings, the two bedrooms and a full bathroom. There is a deck off the living room with outdoor seating and an awning. The outdoor furniture and all the indoor furniture that remains is included in the sales price.
“From every window you can see water,“ she said. ”You almost feel like you’re on a boat. Because it’s raised nine feet, you don’t see land.”
The bungalow next to this one, which was built in 1960 and was not made hurricane compliant, was listed for sale in March for $599,999 and was under contract in less than a week.
Wolf, who is hosting open houses Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, said within 15 minutes of listing this property she was called by someone who lost out on the neighboring home.
Since then, she’s had four more people reach out who missed out on that home and want to tour this one.
“It’s going to go fast,” Wolf said.
The home is located on the border of Ortley Beach, which saw severe damage from Sandy and has replaced bungalows with large, million-dollar homes. And it’s about a 5 minute bike ride or a 10 minute walk to the ocean and boardwalk, she said.
“This house is location, location, location,” Wolf said. “To get something on the water for $629,000 is just amazing.”
