Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.82% By Investing.com


Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.82%, while the index fell 0.87%, and the index fell 0.89%.

The best performers of the session on the were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.72% or 0.83 points to trade at 31.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 1.87% or 9.80 points to end at 532.80 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 1.69% or 0.44 points to 26.52 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:), which fell 6.15% or 1.39 points to trade at 21.21 at the close. Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) declined 4.02% or 0.55 points to end at 13.01 and BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 3.54% or 1.91 points to 52.09.

The top performers on the MDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.83% to 13.10, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 2.51% to settle at 22.46 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 2.18% to close at 39.38.

The worst performers were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.02% to 4.90 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which lost 4.84% to settle at 31.84 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which was down 4.77% to 45.50 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.83% to 13.10, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 2.51% to settle at 22.46 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which gained 2.18% to close at 39.38.

The worst performers were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was down 6.15% to 21.21 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which lost 2.77% to settle at 71.95 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.35% to 32.80 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 362 to 244 and 35 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.58% or 13.55 to $2,361.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.73% or 0.63 to hit $85.58 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.39 to trade at $90.09 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 105.18.
