Investing in hope for our CT neighbors

For more than 100 years, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford has been a constant source of help and hope for our neighbors in need. Every day, our staff and volunteers meet people where they are — families struggling with housing or food insecurity, children seeking stability, seniors fighting isolation — and walk with them toward a better tomorrow.

But today, the needs in our communities are growing faster than the resources available to meet them. Across Hartford, Litchfield, and New Haven counties, we see more individuals and families turning to us for help with essentials like housing, behavioral health care, youth development, and senior support. At the same time, traditional funding sources have become less predictable. The gap between what people need and what we can provide continues to widen.

That’s why we have launched our Good Will Follow Campaign, a $3 million effort to strengthen and sustain the future of our mission. More than $1.2 million has already been raised during the campaign’s early phase, thanks to the generosity of our Board and early supporters.

Now, we’re inviting the broader community to join us.

The campaign focuses on three key areas:

  • Caring for Our Communities by sustaining and expanding vital programs that meet people where they are.
  • Powering Our Purpose through investments that support our staff and improve facilities.
  • Funding Our Future by building an endowment to ensure long-term stability and stewardship.

Behind these goals are real people — neighbors whose lives have been transformed. Bella, once withdrawn and silent, found friendship and confidence in our Limitless II program for adults with developmental disabilities. Today, she’s thriving and full of joy. Luis, a teenager facing challenges at home, found mentorship and purpose in our Community Schools program.

These are the quiet victories that define our work. The Good Will Follow campaign isn’t just about raising money — it’s about investing in human potential and ensuring that compassion continues to ripple through our communities for generations to come.

At Catholic Charities, we believe that when compassion leads, good will always follow.
