Nasdaq futures up 100 points; China vows to ready emergency plan

Futures market are in the green after the S&P 500 and Nasdaq gained for the third day in a row. The Dow Jones also ended 500 points higher in regular trading on Thursday. The Dow futures are currently trading 40 points higher, while those on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are trading 23 and 90 points higher respectively. Google-parent and magnificent seven constituent Alphabet reported a topline and bottomline beat for the first quarter, leading to an upmove in the stock in extended trading. Stocks rose led by tech names, even as China flatly denied that there are no ongoing trade talks with the US, despite the latter suggesting otherwise. Sentiment remained upbeat despite multiple companies suspending their full-year guidance owing to tariff uncertainties. Gold prices saw some buying after briefly slipping below the $3,300 an ounce mark, the Dollar is struggling to cross 100, while the US 10-year yield has cooled off again to 4.31%.
