A lump sum investment of ₹1 lakh made at launch would have grown to over ₹10.3 lakh during the same period.
The Aditya Birla Sun Life Balanced Advantage Fund follows a dynamic asset allocation strategy. It adjusts equity and debt exposure based on market valuations. The aim is to generate reasonable returns with relatively lower volatility compared to pure equity funds.
The fund is currently managed by Harish Krishnan, Lovelish Solanki, and Mohit Sharma.
As of April 30, 2025, it had assets under management (AUM) exceeding ₹7,500 crore.
Over the last nine years, the fund delivered more than 8% returns in over 86% of 3-year rolling periods. Since 2015, it has generated nearly 80% of Nifty’s returns while carrying an average net equity exposure of about 52% and experiencing only 66% of the Nifty’s volatility, according to internal data shared by the fund house.
A Balasubramanian, MD and CEO of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd, said, “The 25-year journey of Aditya Birla Sun Life Balanced Advantage Fund is not just a performance milestone, it is a testament to the dedication of our team and the enduring confidence of our investors.”
While the long-term performance of the fund appears strong, experts often caution that past returns are not indicative of future results. Dynamic asset allocation funds are not immune to market risks and may underperform during prolonged bull runs when equity allocation is lower.
Investors should consider their own risk profile and consult financial advisors before investing.
