Trading in Grow a Garden can be lucrative or risky, it really depends on if you’re trading with your friends or if you attempt to trade with other players in your server.
Now, trading is not a ‘give and take’ situation in Grow a Garden, if you choose to give something away to another player there are zero rules stating that they must give something back to you – so be wary if you’re planning on giving away something that’s valuable (like Cacao).

How to trade in Grow a Garden
Trading in Grow a Garden is actually gifting at the time of writing. You are not guaranteed to get the plant you want, or even get anything in return, by using this trading method so it can be risky – especially if you’re giving up something valuable.
Also, make sure that the ‘Recieve Gifts’ option in your settings is set to ‘On’, otherwise other players won’t be able to offer you gifts!
Gifting Crops
You can trade crops by gifting them to another player on the same server as you. To do this, simply select the crop you want to gift from your inventory so your avatar is holding it in front of them. Then walk over to the person you want to gift the crop to and a ‘Gift’ prompt should appear when you’re close enough.
Use this gifting prompt and you’ll need to wait for them to accept or reject your gift. If someone tries to gift you a crop, this is the notification you’ll see and you just need to click ‘Accept’ to recieve it:
Remember, no one has to give anything back to you in return if they accept your gift.
Gifting Seeds
You can gift seeds using Robux in the seed shop. At the time of writing, you cannot gift seeds any other way or use Sheckles to do so. You cannot buy seeds and give them over like crops, nor can you buy seeds and place them down in someone else’s garden.
If you do want to use Robux to gift seeds, select the seed in the Seed Shop (as long as it’s in stock) and then select the ‘Gift’ icon next to the price listings:
You’ll then get a list of players currently in your server and you can select the person you want to gift the seeds to but this will cost Robux not Sheckles. Again, just like crops, no one has to give you anything in return when you do this.
Gifting Gear
You can gift gear by using Robux in the Gear Shop. To do this, find the gear item you want to gift in the Gear Shop menu (as long as it’s in stock) and select the ‘Gift’ icon next to the price listings:
You’ll then be shown a list of players currently in your server and you simply need to select the person you want to gift the item too. Remember, there are no rules stating that someone has to give anything back to you when you’re gifting items to them.
Another way to trade with someone, which is particularly helpful if you’re playing with a friend, is that you can buy a gear item from Eloise at the Gear Shop and place it down in your friend’s garden or use it in their garden. Just make sure your friend wants the item first!
Gifting Eggs
Now, you cannot gift eggs from Raphael at the Pet stall but you can gift eggs when they’re part of bundles in the in-game shop. However, this will (again) cost Robux.
To do this, enter the in-game shop using the ‘Shop’ option on the left side of your screen. If there are eggs in here or egg bundles, select the ‘Gift’ icon next to the item or bundle listing and you’ll be shown a list of players in your server.
Just like other items, select the person you want to gift the eggs to and remember that you’ll need to spend Robux to do so, not Sheckles.
