London Stock Exchange Group wants to raise chief’s pay to £11m


The boss of the London Stock Exchange Group stands to earn an annual package of about £11 million under new pay proposals that the company has circulated to shareholders.

The business said last year that it was planning to change the rewards on offer to David Schwimmer, who has led the group since August 2018.

Now it has emerged that London Stock Exchange Group’s revised remuneration policy includes increases to base salary, annual bonus and annual share awards that would take Schwimmer’s potential pay to as much as approximately £11 million a year. That compares with the £4.7 million that Schwimmer was paid in 2022 out of a potential maximum of £6.5 million.
