Nifty 50 is trading 154.95 points or 0.67% at 23,345.6, crossing the 23,300 mark for the first time since Feb 11. The Nifty Bank index is trading nearly 400 points in the green at 50,456.6.

The shares of Manappuram Finance gained on the news of Bain Capital acquiring a stake in the company. Bajaj Finance shares are trading close to its all-time high levels, following positive developments regarding its outgoing MD and CEO Rajeev Jain.
