The company is to invest £4 million in its new depot at the site, located at Junction 12 of the M6 north of Wolverhampton.
The hub is being developed by global real estate investor, developer and manager Oxford Properties and Logistics Capital Partners (LCP) and Carlsberg Britvic will occupy a 222,000 sq ft new unit at the site – just under 10 miles from the company’s Wolverhampton depot.
Operations and deliveries from Carlsberg Britvic’s current depot will continue as normal while the new site is under construction.
Following the opening of the new depot at WMI, expected towards the end of 2026, the logistics operations in Wolverhampton will transfer fully to the new facility as part of a managed transition.
The new purpose-built depot, built to Carlsberg Britvic’s requirements, will feature state-of-the-art facilities to support the business’s growing logistics needs and lay the foundations for future growth.
A high level of sustainability will be factored into the design and construction of the building which will be Net Zero Carbon Aligned, while the roofs will be 100 per cent optimised for PV panels.
The development adds to Carlsberg Britvic’s continued investment in its UK operations.
The company, formed in 2024 through the merger of Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company and Britvic plc in the UK, has already committed more than £6 million to upgrading its Burton Brewery.
