Pentagon secures USD 50 billion contract with RTX defense corporation


WASHINGTON, Aug 2: The US Department of Defense said it had secured a USD 50-billion contract for a term of 20 years with American multinational aerospace and defense corporation RTX.
“RTX Corp., Arlington, Virginia, has been awarded a maximum USD 50,000,000,000 terms and conditions umbrella contract for RTX systems and end-item production, spare parts, services and other types of support. This umbrella is comprised of basic terms and conditions allowing for indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity and ‘C’ type subsumable contracts for negotiated pricing,” the Pentagon said on Friday.
The contract is to be implemented both inside and outside of continental US.
“This is a 20-year contract with no option periods. Locations of performance are inside and outside the continental U.S., with a July 31, 2045, performance completion date,” the US Defense Department said.
The receiving customers are the US Army, the Defense Logistics Agency and the US Defense Department, the Pentagon said. (UNI)
