The Tennessee Titans have traded second-year cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., to the New York Jets in exchange for a late-round pick swap, per a team announcement.
The Titans will receive a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft exchange for Brownlee and a 2026 seventh-round pick.

Brownlee, a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, started 14 games for the Titans as a rookie and the first two games in 2025. Viewed as one of the bright spots of the Titans’ rebuild last season, Brownlee logged an interception and nine pass breakups to go along with 75 tackles. He was also among the NFL’s most penalized defenders, often being flagged for pass interference and defensive holding penalties. The issue recurred at the start of the season, when Brownlee was penalized three times in Week 1 alone.

Brownlee missed the Titans’ Week 3 game against the Indianapolis Colts with an ankle injury sustained in practice. The Tennessean spotted Brownlee entering Nissan Stadium wearing a walking boot pregame.
Without Brownlee, the Titans’ cornerback room consists of L’Jarius Sneed, Roger McCreary, Darrell Baker Jr., Marcus Harris, Jalyn Armour-Davis and Samuel Womack III. Armour-Davis and Womack are players the Titans added via waivers just before the start of the 2025 season, and Harris was a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

During Brownlee’s absence in Week 3, the Titans started Armour-Davis, but Baker eventually took over as the Titans’ No. 2 cornerback option opposite of Sneed.
Brownlee is the second player from the 2024 draft class who the Titans have already parted ways with. The Titans waived receiver Jha’Quan Jackson following the preseason. Fellow Class of 2024 draft picks JC Latham and T’Vondre Sweat have been hurt at the start of this season.
Sneed is under contract through 2027. McCreary, who plays in the nickel, will be a free agent in 2026.
