Modi-Starmer Meet: Itinerary of the day

The two leaders will hold talks with top business and industry figures to explore opportunities under the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which is seen as a key pillar of their future economic partnership. They will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Starmer said ahead of the meeting that the trade deal signed with India in July was “the best secured by any country.” He added that it was not just a document but “a launchpad for growth,” pointing out that India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2028, making trade faster and cheaper between the two countries.

Joint appearance at Global Fintech Fest

Both the PMs will attend the sixth edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) in Mumbai. The event will bring together innovators, policymakers, regulators, investors, and industry experts from across the world. This year’s theme, “Empowering Finance for a Better World – Powered by AI, Augmented Intelligence, Innovation, and Inclusion,” focuses on how technology and human insight can together build a more ethical and sustainable financial future.
