Parkdean Resorts Announces £50M Investment and New Park Facilities for 2026

Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s largest holiday park operator, will invest approximately £50m to transform on-park facilities and amenities, expand pitches, and enhance retail developments next year.

Highfield Grange Holiday Park in Essex and Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth will undergo major transformations, with £5m invested per park to deliver a record number of new activities for all ages by spring 2026. The investment will see the two parks unveil features brand new to Parkdean Resorts, including indoor adventure golf, upgraded high and low ropes, and immersive Bear Grylls escape rooms.

Both parks’ existing indoor and outdoor Tots Zones are being expanded and enhanced to provide larger, modernised play areas for toddlers, while the off-road driving ranges will offer something new for children aged four and over. The investment will also see the introduction of a brand-new sports bar concept, Hat-Tricks, serving a variety of food and drinks. Hat-Tricks will also be home to indoor interactive sports such as shuffleboard and darts.

In addition to elevating guest experience and boosting local economies, the investment will create up to 100 new jobs, including full-time roles and a range of seasonal positions.

Steve Richards, CEO at Parkdean Resorts, said: “In 2026 we will be investing approximately £50m in our holiday parks to improve facilities, elevate guest experience, and keep families coming back to these fantastic locations throughout the UK. As the UK’s leading holiday park operator, guests return to us year after year because they trust us to deliver the quality and consistency they expect.

“Next year guests will see Highfield Grange and Vauxhall transformed with major investments to upgrade and diversify the on-park activities. Ongoing investment within the communities we operate in is also a key part of our strategy, and we are committed to raising standards to remain at the forefront of the UK holiday market. We are excited to welcome guests to see all that these parks have to offer next year.”

Parkdean Resorts owns and operates 65 holiday parks across the UK which welcomed over 3 million holidaymakers last year. This latest investment follows a major £140m cash injection in 2022, which saw upgrades across 16 parks including the introduction of high ropes, virtual reality games, and the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, the addition of 850 new caravans and lodges, and a £6m Wi-Fi upgrade.

The operator recorded record results in this year’s Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, with 32 of its parks and hotels recognised among the top 10% of businesses consistently earning positive reviews.
