Diameter Pay has raised $10 million in Series A financing to expand its infrastructure for U.S. dollar payments, virtual accounts and stablecoin transactions for financial institutions worldwide.
The round was co-led by CMT Digital and Lightspeed Faction, with participation from SixThirty Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, Tech Council Ventures, Onigiri Capital and BitRock Capital.
Jersey City, New Jersey-based Diameter Pay provides banks, fintech companies and digital asset exchanges with access to U.S. dollar accounts and payment rails through a single API. Its platform supports virtual accounts, domestic and international payments, stablecoin on- and off-ramps and compliance controls across multiple U.S. banking partners.
The company said it has processed more than $10 billion in transactions year-to-date in 2026.
Diameter plans to use the funding to expand its banking and payment capabilities, deepen its stablecoin and foreign exchange infrastructure and invest further in technology and compliance systems for cross-border transactions.
“The world is becoming more global, but the financial system is becoming more fragmented,” said David Lighton, founder and CEO of Diameter Pay. “Rather than asking banks to accept more risk, we provide the technology, data, and compliance infrastructure to understand and manage that risk with greater precision.”
The company is positioning its platform as a link between stablecoin networks and traditional banking infrastructure. While stablecoins can facilitate around-the-clock movement of dollar-denominated value, financial institutions still require regulated connections to U.S. banks for settlement and compliance.
“Stablecoins are transforming how dollars move globally, but they don’t replace the need for trusted access to the U.S. banking system,” said Charlie Sandor, partner at CMT Digital. “Diameter provides that connective layer, combining traditional payment rails, stablecoin infrastructure, and compliance in a platform built for regulated financial institutions.”
Diameter Pay serves financial institutions and fintech companies with U.S. virtual accounts, domestic and international payment rails, stablecoin infrastructure and embedded compliance controls. Its leadership team includes executives with backgrounds at Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, Segovia Technology, Reserve Trust and the World Bank.
