HEBRON, Ky. – Amazon today released its 2025 State Economic Impact Report, revealing the company has invested more than $75 billion in Kentucky since 2010 – contributing $55 billion to the state’s GDP and supporting 19,000 full- and part-time jobs across the Commonwealth.
The announcement comes as Amazon reports its largest-ever single-year U.S. investment of more than $340 billion in 2025.

Rural delivery reaching more
Amazon has significantly expanded its rural delivery network, now offering same-day and next-day delivery to communities across Eastern and Western Kentucky – bringing even faster service and new jobs to areas that have historically been underserved. This expansion is part of Amazon’s broader $4 billion rural infrastructure investment across the U.S., creating more than 100,000 local jobs in small towns and giving customers in those communities access to greater convenience and a wider selection of products.
Career Choice drives debt-free education
Amazon’s Career Choice program – which provides prepaid college tuition and skills training – has helped more than 4,000 Kentucky employees pursue degrees and certifications completely debt-free since 2019, through partnerships with 11 educational institutions across the state.
That momentum was on full display earlier this year at Amazon’s Northern Kentucky air hub (KCVG), where the company hosted its second annual Career Choice graduation ceremony, celebrating 110 hourly associates who achieved significant educational milestones. More than 1,340 KCVG employees – representing 30% of the workforce there – are now actively pursuing education through Career Choice, a nearly 40% increase year-over-year.
Giving back across the state
Beyond jobs and infrastructure, Amazon deepened its commitment to Kentucky communities in 2025. The company delivered more than 1 million meals on behalf of food banks and nonprofits, supporting 25 organizations statewide. I
n the wake of Kentucky’s 2025 disaster season – which triggered multiple federal emergency declarations and more than $100 million in FEMA relief – Amazon contributed disaster relief supplies to affected communities across the state.
Empowering local businesses to sell
More than 60% of sales in Amazon’s store come from independent sellers, the majority of which are small and medium-sized businesses. In Kentucky, independent sellers sold more than 17 million items through Amazon’s store in 2025.
One standout example: Paula Blankenship transformed Heirloom Traditions Paint from a small rural Kentucky company into a nationwide success through Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program. Sales grew from $4 million in their first year with FBA to $10 million the following year, and the product line expanded from a handful of items to hundreds – all consistently available nationwide.
“I couldn’t grow my business without a partner like Amazon. They solved the logistics challenges that were holding us back and made it possible for a rural Kentucky small business to compete nationally.” – Paula Blankenship, Heirloom Traditions Paint
