BookMyForex said the move was driven by rising weekend browsing and last-minute forex purchases, with nearly one-fifth of customers checking rates or placing orders on Saturdays and Sundays. Earlier, weekday-only delivery cycles meant several of these bookings could not be fulfilled in time.
With the expanded schedule, customers in eligible cities who complete payment and documentation before 1 pm can receive their forex orders on the same day. The new POD feature allows travellers to pay for currency notes at the doorstep via UPI or other permitted digital modes.
Cash-on-delivery will be available for amounts up to ₹50,000 per traveller.
According to BookMyForex, the additions aim to make forex access more flexible, particularly for travellers who need currency outside standard banking hours. Same-day delivery currently covers major metros and is expected to reach more locations in the coming months.
The company has also launched its seasonal promotional offer, providing cashback on forex card and currency-note purchases.
BookMyForex operates a hybrid model where it processes most forex-card orders directly, while currency notes and international money transfers are fulfilled through partner banks, RBI-licensed money changers and the platform’s own branch network.
