Popular prediction market platform Kalshi saw $388.1-million traded on NFL games, excluding combos, during the first Sunday of the 2026 season, up 40% year over year.
Key Takeaways
- Kalshi accounted for 76% of Sunday’s trading volume on NFL games.
- Football helped set single-day trading records over the weekend.
- DraftKings Predictions, Novig, and ProphetX experienced new highs.
More than $617 million in NFL markets was traded on Kalshi since Wednesday’s season opener, according to Aldrin Research. Following Sunday’s games in 2025’s Week 1, Kalshi CEO Tarik Mansour said the operator did $441 million in NFL trades.

Kalshi accounted for 76% of Sunday’s $510.9 million in NFL trading volume. That includes seven of Aldrin’s 10 reporting operators.
Polymarket, one of the world’s top prediction market platforms, hadn’t released its trading data as of Monday morning, but Jefferies reports that the operator generated volume of $404 million on Sunday, well below the $532-million daily average during the World Cup this summer.
Total operator combo trades – which likely include significant NFL prediction markets but also MLB, tennis, soccer, and other heavily traded sports – reached $1.69 billion in reported volume on Sunday alone. Kalshi made up $1.49 billion of that total, with Monday night’s Broncos-Chiefs game still to come.
Since Wednesday, Kalshi has totaled $8.56 billion in sports volume, including combos and college football trades.

Reaching milestones
Football expectedly provided a huge boost to prediction markets, which are available throughout the U.S., where the NFL is king.
When including Polymarket, Sunday will easily result in more than $3 billion in volume across all markets and operators tracked by Aldrin. That surpasses Saturday’s single-day trading record.

Kalshi alone generated a total volume of $2.43 billion on Saturday, with college football accounting for $321.4 million, up 30% from the previous week, while combos added another $1.48 billion, a 25% week-over-week increase.
DraftKings Predictions also reached a new milestone, producing its first-ever $100-million trading day on Saturday. That was reached again with an all-time high of $139.8 million in volume on Sunday, including $98 million from sports and combos combined.

Crypto.com went over $100 million in volume for the first time on Sunday. Novig, a sports-only platform that entered the prediction market industry in early August, set its new trading record with $66.1 million on Saturday, followed by $69.1 million in volume on Sunday, good for 2.4% of the market.
ProphetX saw more than $10 million traded in back-to-back days over the weekend, making that the first time the platform has reached double-digit daily volume.
Other notable finishes
Rothera, Robinhood’s in-house exchange, generated $40.2 million in NFL volume on Sunday, second behind Kalshi and slightly ahead of DraftKings Predictions’ $39.9 million.
DraftKings did see over $90 million in combos traded, 5.3% of the reported market, but only six of Aldrin’s 10 operators have released multi-leg data. Novig accounted for 5.7% of NFL volume on Sunday but just 1.8% of combos.
Crypto.com’s $46.5 million in college football trades accounted for a second-best 9.7% of the sport’s volume on Saturday. DraftKings Predictions finished third in Aldrin’s data with 8.8%, while Novig (5.8%) and Polymarket (5.6%) rounded out the top five.
